Javi Gracia has said Osasuna’s poor start at Levante meant they were always struggling to win the game.
Levante took the lead after four minutes and eventually won 2-0, with Gracia admitting Levante saw the game out well from that point.
“Starting the game losing after five minutes against a team like Levante – who manage the game very well – made it difficult for us,” Gracia told a Press conference.
“We lacked the resolve we’ve shown in other games and we couldn’t get forward well enough. There weren’t many chances for either team.”
Gracia added that going behind in the opening minutes damaged his side’s mentality.
“We were on a losing footing very early and that conditioned the game a great deal. Playing against Levante when they’re winning can be hopeless.”
