Barca to pay €9m in Neymar taxes?

Barcelona will pay the inland revenue €9m for the alleged tax evasion involving Neymar’s transfer, according to reports.

Newspaper La Vanguardia claim that the Blaugrana will deposit the amount this afternoon if approved in a board meeting to be held later today.

High Court judge Pablo Ruz insisted that €9m was the amount the Catalan side had evaded in the deal that brought the striker to Spain.

And it is believed that the Camp Nou outfit will try and reduce the impact of the Neymar case by making the payment.

It will be made via the complementary tax return method, “that means paid outside the stipulated time frame. It would exonerate them from penal responsibilities without accepting the charges,” La Vanguardia explain.
