Madrid to make Vidal move?

Real Madrid have been linked with a summer approach for Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal.

Marca reports that Los Blancos Coach Carlo Ancelotti wanted the Chile international last summer but a number of factors meant the deal had to be delayed.

Vidal’s price tag, the signing of Asier Illarramendi, the preliminary agreement made with Borussia Dortmund to sign Ilkay Gundogan and the costly purchase of Gareth Bale all contributed to Ancelotti missing out on the 26-year-old.

But Ancelotti has not given up on signing Vidal and despite Vidal and Juventus agreeing a new contract less than two weeks ago, Madrid are preparing an end-of-season offer, having put Vidal towards the top of their wanted list.

Vidal has been a Juve player since 2011, when he made the switch from Bayer Leverkusen. He spent four years in Germany after leaving Colo Colo in 2007, making more than 100 appearances for the club.

To date he has played almost 100 times for Juve and has more than 50 caps for his country.
