Neymar has returned to training for Barcelona after spraining his ankle against Getafe earlier in January.
Barca hope to have the Brazil forward available for the first-leg of their Champions League tie with Manchester City, which is set for February 18.
The City game will be almost a month to the day since Neymar was injured in the Copa del Rey tie with Getafe. That game took place on January 16 and Neymar was initially diagnosed as missing three to four weeks, but began running two weeks after he was injured.
Neymar is expected to return to full training next week or possibly on February 10, in order to give him time to build up his fitness for the European game against the current Premier League leaders.
Mundo Deportivo reports that while Barca Coach Tata Martino is eager to have Neymar available, the performances of Alexis Sanchez and Pedro mean the former Santos player’s absence has not had the impact first expected.
