Atletico Madrid have agreed the season-long loan signing of Wolfsburg midfielder Diego.
The Brazil international spent the 2011-12 season at Vicente Calderon and was one of Diego Simeone’s primary targets, both in the summer transfer window and in the window that closes today.
Marca reports that the formalities of the signing need to be completed but there isn’t thought to be a problem and the 28-year-old will be an Atleti player until June.
During his season with Los Colchoneros he made 43 appearances, scoring six goals and helping Atletico to victory in the Europa League.
Reports in Spain say Atleti will pay €1.5m for the deal.
