Atletico Madrid will be without midfielder Arda Turan for the Copa del Rey game with Athletic Bilbao.
AS reports that Turan has remained in Madrid after straining his calf in the final training session before the Wednesday evening fixture.
Los Colchoneros will also be without Tiago Mendes, Joshua Guilavogui and Olivier Torres.
“Tiago and Guilavogui have not travelled,” Coach Diego Simeone confirmed to reporters.
“We’ll see how they are for the weekend and how they progress between now and Sunday.
“We expect them to come along well.
“When players have a situation like this we let them recover properly because you always want the best version of each player.
“When you play at 70 or 80% it’s not possible to give 100% and that’s what we expect.
“Tiago is very important to us and we hope to have him giving 100%.”
Simeone was speaking before afternoon training on Tuesday, which is when Turan suffered his injury.
Atletico lead the tie from the first-leg, a Diego Godin goal giving the title chasers the advantage.
The winners play Real Madrid in the competition’s semi-finals.
