The Barcelona member who brought forward the lawsuit against former President Sandro Rosell is expected to withdraw his complaint.
Newspaper La Vanguardia have revealed that Jordi Cases has accepted that the suit has accomplished its goal, which was to highlight the alleged ‘misappropriation of funds’ against Rosell regarding the Neymar transfer.
The daily has claimed that a phone conversation took place at the weekend in which Cases and Blaugrana social affairs Vice-President Jordi Cardoner came to an agreement.
A face-to-face meeting is expected this week where the two parties are likely to reach a settlement for the lawsuit to be dropped.
There are still a few details to sort out, but a written notice should be sent to the courts to withdraw the complaint by the end of this week.
It will then be up to Judge Pablo Ruz to decide whether to shelve the investigation or not.
