Sanabria to complete Roma switch

Reports in the Italian press suggest Roma will pay up to €5m to take Antonio Sanabria from Barcelona.

The in-demand youngster has indicated that weeks of speculation on his future was at an end and that he would be joining the Giallorossi, before immediately joining another Serie A side on loan.

Il Messagero are running alleged details of the agreement said to have been reached, asserting that Roma will be paying €3m as a transfer fee to buy him out of his Barca B contract.

Due to taxes involved, it is alleged that the total fee paid out may amount to closer to €5m.

It is also understood that the 17-year-old, also linked with Arsenal, will be handed a starting salary of €700,000 per season, in a five-year agreement.

The player is expected at the Italian side’s training ground this week to finalise terms of his move. Tuttomercatoweb report this will be more specifically Friday.
