Lionel Messi has been given the green light for his return from injury after tests by the club’s medical staff on Tuesday.
The Argentine has been out since November with a torn hamstring and a report in Mundo Deportivo claims boss Tata Martino plans to give him some playing time in Wednesday’s first-leg Copa del Rey clash with Getafe at the Camp Nou.
The 26-year-old had previously been recovering in his native country, with some members of the Barca medical staff having flown out to South America before Christmas to oversee his recuperation.
