Barcelona’s foreign stars returned to training today, except for the absent Lionel Messi and unwell Dani Alves.
On from being given an extended break over the winter period, Javier Mascherano, Alex Song, Alexis Sanchez and Neymar all clocked in for Thursday morning’s first workout back.
Messi, due to scheduling of his return flights from Argentina, was absent but is expected to be back for this evening’s training session.
Meanwhile, Dani Alves skipped the workout suffering with a fever. Ibrahim Afellay continues to work with the group as he works on fitness after a hamstring injury, whilst Isaac Cuenca continued on a specific, separate routine.
