Espanyol’s Javi Lopez has claimed that his side will give the fans ‘a lot to cheer’ over the coming 12 months.
The Periquitos have endured an up-and-down 2013, but the defender has insisted that his team will give the supporters an easier ride going into 2014.
“We want to bring the fans a lot of victories and a lot of joy,” he told a Press conference.
“We have the desire to do well, now we just have to work hard on the training pitch.
“We’ve had a good rest over the holidays, but we’re all keen to start again and give the supporters something to cheer about.
“The first match against Osasuna is key.”
