‘Osasuna won’t sit back’

Javi Gracia has assured that Osasuna will play for more than holding on to a ‘minimum’ advantage against Malaga in the Copa del Rey.

The Pamplona side host the Anchovies tomorrow evening the second leg of their Round of 32 clash with a 3-3 result from the first leg handing them an away goals advantage.

For their Coach, however, it is not reason enough to sit back and allow Malaga the ball.

“The 3-3 gives us a slight advantage inasmuch as if we finish level here by less than three goals then we progress, but this aside we expect a very open game,” Gracia has reflected today.

“We will not come out to defend the current scoreline, because it is only the minimum. We must go out to play and try to win the game.

“The team is good [after the weekend draw against Real Madrid]. We have received the recognition for the last few games played and we feel more confident, more animated and definitely more excited.”
