Tata Martino has mused that Lionel Messi’s happiness at Barcelona is not going to determined just by a new contract.
Club Vice-President Javier Faus stated today that he ‘sees no reason’ to offer the 26-year-old star improved terms on his current contract, amid slight speculation linking other clubs with a future move for him.
“I do not take part nor want to take part in negotiations of contracts for players,” began Martino to reporters today in his Press conference ahead of Barca’s match with Celtic.
“I believe that it is necessary for Leo like with any other player to feel that he is loved in order to perform at their best.
“How do we show him that? If you can only prove so economically…I also believe that there are other ways to show it.”
