Alvaro Arbeloa has claimed that Real Madrid had an ‘excellent group stage’ as they topped Group B.
Los Blancos beat Copenhagen this evening 2-0 to claim the top spot in their group.
“It’s not an easy place to play,” he told reporters. “We had to put in a big effort to win.
“We have had an excellent group stage, but the important thing is to play right until the last match.”
The defender then commented on Cristiano Ronaldo – who scored one and misses a second half penalty.
“We look to Cristiano in every game. No one likes to miss a penalty, but we have to focus on the next stage now.”
