Scolari: No easy games at World Cup

Luis Felipe Scolari has insisted there will be no easy games at next summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil.

The host nation have been drawn in Group A alongside Croatia, Mexico and Cameroon but Scolari believes it will be far from an easy passage to the next stage.

“The only advantage we have is that we are playing at home and we’ll have to set off on the right foot in our first game against Croatia,” he told reporters.

“They are European team that plays good football and will bring something different. Against Mexico and Cameroon it will also be tough so we will need to give our all on the pitch.”

Scolari said that at this juncture he does not even want to think beyond the group stage of the tournament.

“The main thing is to beat the other teams in the first phase and only then will we discuss other potential rivals, “he cautioned.
