Sergio Ramos has responded to recent stories suggesting that he has fallen out with Real Madrid President Florentino Perez.
Reports from Cadena SER suggested that the Spain international was no longer on speaking terms with the club’s chief, claiming that the President had told the defender that he could leave Santiago Bernabeu for €65m.
But Ramos has taken to Twitter to hit back at those critics.
“I always greet my president,” he posted on his official profile.
“What people want to sell is another matter altogether. I’m privileged to play for Real Madrid.”
“Silence and lies both corrupt the truth. Hala Madrid..!!”
The posts were accompanied by a video and photo of a handshake that was not seen in public, in which Ramos attempts to show that he did not snub Pérez.
