Sandro Rosell believes Barcelona’s shock 2-1 Champions League defeat to Ajax could prove to be a blessing in disguise.
The Barca President, speaking at an event organised by PIMEC, an organisation for small and medium-sized businesses in Catalunya, tried to put a positive spin on the result and offered the opinion it could make the club even stronger.
“Winning all the time is no good for anyone. It’s sometimes necessary to lose to stimulate both the team and the fans,” declared Rosell, who also revealed he had been given some advice by Israeli President Shimon Peres after a previous meeting between the pair.
“He once told me a secret, saying that you should always have an aim life, be happy, love people and choose your enemies,” he revealed.
