Barcelona have welcomed back Xavi Hernandez to the squad to face Ajax in midweek, but have lost Adriano to injury now.
The Catalans, who have seen a number of players suffer with injury in recent weeks, today returned to training to begin preparations for Tuesday’s trip out to Amsterdam for the fifth matchday of the Champions League group stages.
Naming a 19-man squad for that midweek test, the novelty is the return to the group for Xavi, having received medical clearance after suffering during last week and missing the weekend game with Granada through a hamstring injury.
However, Barca have now lost Adriano to injury, with the Brazilian out of the squad having picked up a ligament sprain in his left ankle.
