Manchester United boss David Moyes has hinted that Cristiano Ronaldo could one day return to Old Trafford.
The Portuguese international left Old Trafford to join Real Madrid in June 2009 for a reported €94m fee but, in an interview with MUTV, Moyes intimated that he did not rule out an emotional return to the Premier League giants sometime in the future.
“Everybody at Old Trafford would tell you Ronaldo is the best in the business anyway. I have not been fortunate enough to work with him but there is still hope someday that it might be possible,” said the Scot.
The former United star has been linked with a move to the Red Devils on more than one occasion, most noticeably last summer.
However, he recently penned a new five-year deal at the Santiago Bernabeu designed to keep him at Madrid until 2018.
