With Barcelona reportedly considering a move next summer for a new midfielder, Tata Martino apparently has a shortlist of three.
The Catalans are believed keen to follow up priority work of strengthening the goalkeeping position in 2014 with a possible reinforcement for the middle of the park.
Whilst the club’s technical staff view their current options as strong, Mundo Deportivo report that they are lining up options to either enhance those alternatives, or at least to cover their backs should a situation similar to Victor Valdes ‘surprise’ them.
Barca are believed to have one eye on Cesc Fabregas and Alex Song’s situations, as both were linked with departures last summer.
On from this situation, it is reported that Coach Tata Martino has listed his three preferences for midfield additions come next summer.
It is understood that Atletico Madrid’s Koke Resurreccion, Juventus’ Arturo Vidal and Chelsea’s Ramires are on the Argentine’s shortlist, all selected for their particular mix of power, technique and athletic ability.
