Juve enter Ter Stegen picture?

Reports in Italy and Germany suggest that Juventus are in talks to sign Barcelona target Marc-Andre ter Stegen, but a FIFA agent believes otherwise.

Borussia Monchengladbach’s 21-year-old shot-stopper has been increasingly linked with a move away from the Bundesliga outfit in the coming transfer windows, with Barca seen as having led the way.

Amid the expectation of losing Victor Valdes next summer, reports in Spain have recently speculated that the Catalans even have a pre-contract agreement in place with Monchengladbach and the player for a June transfer and that only talks over the proposed €10m fee remain to be ironed out.

However, Tuttosport are citing and backing up reports this week in Germany that Juventus are also looking at the German international.

Bild believe that negotiations are even at an advanced stage, with the Bianconeri apparently proposing a deal to sign the ‘keeper but leave him at his current club for 2014-15 on loan.

At the same time, though, one FIFA agent has commented on the move and does not see the youngster arriving in Serie A.

“He is a great goalkeeper, but I believe that his next team will be Barcelona, seeing that Victor Valdes is leaving for Monaco and Claudio Ranieri,” Vincenzo Pennavaria has told IlSussidiario.net this week in response.
