Nolito: No Balaidos pressure

Nolito has reflected that Celta Vigo do not feel pressure for having not yet won at Balaidos, but says weekend visitors Rayo Vallecano deserve focus.

The Galicians are mid-table heading into Week 13 thanks to recent wins at Malaga and Sevilla, but host the League’s bottom club on Saturday having yet to win on home turf this term.

“I do not think the team are under pressure for having not won at Balaidos yet,” Nolito has considered this week.

“Someday we hope to win and if that is this Saturday then all the better.

“Rayo? People believe that because they are bottom of the League that we will score three or four goals, but they are a good team, with a very strong philosophy.

“Currently they are last but I see them as capable of getting out of that position.

“It will be a very difficult game. Any team in this League is able to compete, so we must stay focused.

“Whilst we are not very high in the table, we come into this game having defeated Malaga and Sevilla.

“It would be very important to win here as it is to win every game to the end of the year.”

The striker reflected on his work under Luis Enrique.

“He is like my sporting father, he has always given me advice since we were together with the Barca B team.

“He is the boss, whilst at an individual level I am trying to improve every day to help the team. If I have to be a substitute in some games, that does not bother me.”
