Fernando Llorente expressed his joy for scoring yet again for Juventus against Real Madrid, as he backed his team to make the next round.
The Bianconeri were held at home on Tuesday evening to a 2-2 draw by Carlo Ancelotti’s side, to leave their hopes of making the Last 16 of the Champions League still in the balance.
“I think we have played a very good game, we saw a strong Juve, a Juve side fully aware of what was at stake,” mused Spaniard Llorente, who netted the equaliser in the second half.
“We managed to earn a very important point especially considering that Galatasaray lost in Copenhagen. The group is still very open and if we win the next two games, I think we will qualify.
“I'm very happy to have scored another goal against Real Madrid. It wasn't easy but the team worked hard and did well, I think today we have seen a great Juve.”
Martin Caceres’ mistake led to Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal early in the second half.
“I felt sorry for him after that mistake, but then he made amends, sending in a great cross which allowed me to score the equaliser.”
