Fernando Llorente has urged Juventus to demonstrate their strength against Real Madrid, in facing a situation where ‘every point is vital’.
The Bianconeri host Los Blancos this evening in the Champions League group phase, still looking for a first win of the campaign.
“Right now there are three games left and every point is vital,” reflected Llorente this week on Onda Cero.
“We are playing at home and we must show that we are strong.
“Against Madrid we cannot make any mistakes – we have shown that we can play a good game, like we did in the Santiago Bernabeu.
“That 2-1 defeat? The referee did not have his best day at the Bernabeu and it did penalise us. It meant I had to be substituted off and there was anger on the sidelines.”
The striker has had to be patient for opportunities in Turin since arriving from Athletic Bilbao in the summer.
“Now, every time I play I feel better, as I want to, wanting to improve every game, trying to score goals and gain confidence more and more in this team.
“It is not something that is done overnight.”
