Imanol Agirretxe has outlined Real Sociedad’s hope to pay back the fans with a result against Manchester United tonight.
La Real host the reigning Premier League champions in the fourth round of Champions League group phase games tonight, still to register a point to their name.
“This game is what everyone has been waiting for around the world,” Agirretxe has built up in his pre-game conference.
“The fans have spent a lot of money, they have overcome the difficulties of travelling away, but we are playing a game now against Manchester United at Anoeta.
“It can be very special and can be a good opportunity to give the fans a victory they deserve.
“The game may prove to be very beautiful, we must be good in defence, not give away too many chances and look to take advantage of ours, which probably won’t be many.
“They have already shown that they can attack and defend well, we know we have to do things very well in order to beat them and win the game.”
