Luis Garcia lamented Getafe’s missed chances against Athletic Bilbao that resulted in a 1-0 defeat at home.
Week 10’s closing fixture saw Los Azulones downed by Aymeric Laporte’s early goal, as Diego Castro missed a penalty just before the break.
“The team has had enough chances to not lose. To me this is a tough night because sometimes football can do that to you,” mused Garcia post-match.
“Only a win has value. As for the rest, in two days nobody will remember that we played well here, only the defeat.
“They have taken their chance in front of goal and if we have not, as has been the case, then we lose.
“We made a mistake at a corner and it has cost us the game, because everything else was perfect.
“Now it is a shame that our streak is broken because the team has been great.
“We have to play on Thursday and we go to one of the most difficult grounds there are [Villarreal] we must continue this line.”
