Jagoba Arrasate saw good and bad points to Real Sociedad’s 3-0 win over Almeria, but insists winning at home is key to their season.
La Real saw a double from Antoine Griezmann and a second-half effort from Jose Angel secure the result and a second League win in a row.
“The first half was even, we had not done too well, but we took the lead,” considered Arrasate post-match.
“Almeria have had good spells and even controlled the match. I’ll focus on the input in the second half, it was very good and was when we clinched the match.
“When at 3-0 there was a bit of relaxation, that was perhaps when we were at our worst, but it is normal for the result and the week ahead.
“I do not think that we have played better than at other times. Today there has been more success, but we must give continuity to our game.
“We had gone a long time without playing at home, we have recorded a clean sheet, we picked up a second consecutive League win, these are important things.
“We know that if we are to have a good season, Anoeta is key. We began the season well at home, but we have had a long run without winning. Victory is good for confidence and also to continue strong in Anoeta.
“This win gives us confidence and we are in a better position to face Real Valladolid and Osasuna.”
