Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola has insisted that he is not turning the German side into a new Barcelona.
The Spanish tactician has revolutionised some aspects of the Bundesliga champions game since arriving in the summer – surprising many by playing Philipp Lahm as a central midfielder.
But the former Blaugrana Coach has claimed that he is not trying to morph the Bavarians into Catalans.
“This club has won many things, why should I copy another team?” he told Gazzetta dello Sport.
“We’re doing things right, but you can always do more. I’m just a guy faced with the history of Bayern. There is a different mentality, a different style, atmosphere and culture, and different players.
“Here you have to win or you’re out. This group plays differently from the previous group [at Barca] because their roles are different.
“We have to be spectacular and please the fans. The key is not just always winning, it’s about how you win..”
