Wayne Rooney thought Manchester United should have beaten Real Sociedad by more than one goal.
The Premier League champions scored just the once to defeat La Real by a single goal at Old Trafford.
“I thought we played some great football and should have won the game by more,” he told uefa.
“It was important we won after Saturday's result [a 1-1 draw with Southampton].
“We defended well and we created a lot of chances, on another day we'd have won more comfortably.
