Fernando Llorente is looking forward to facing Spanish opposition this week in Real Madrid and has urged his Juventus teammates to take to the game.
The Bianconeri head out to the Santiago Bernabeu this Wednesday evening for the third matchday in the Champions League group stage with the Spanish member of their party particularly motivated.
“Personally I am happy to be playing against a Spanish team, especially one as big as Real Madrid,” considered Llorente in an interview with his club’s in-house television channel.
“We have shown what we can do and we have begun the season well, but not as we had hoped in the Champions League and for this reason we now have to do well in these two games that lie ahead.
“We have an opportunity to get points against a Real Madrid that are never easy to play. They are a great team, but we must believe in our chances.
“Madrid are a complicated opponent that allows you to play – even if they are dangerous when they have possession.
“It is always exciting to play in a stadium like the Bernabeu, where I have only won once, but that I have also scored in a couple of times.
“I believe that Juventus are favourites and I am sure that Madrid will face the game with the utmost respect knowing that we are a great team.”
