‘Juve will beat Madrid at least once’

Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba feels confident of his side’s chances against Real Madrid in this season’s Champions League.

The Italian giants are due to face Carlo Ancelotti’s men twice in Group B and, despite them having drawn their opening two games against FC Copenhagen and Galatasaray, former Manchester United man Pogba says the Spaniards hold no fear for him.

“There is nothing to be afraid of. We will win at least one game against them and move on in the competition,” the French international told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“We are Juve and we can’t forget that. Because of the history, prestige and quality of this team we are not inferior to anyone. And, for that reason, Real Madrid hold no fears for me.

“Juventus are at the same level as all of Europe’s other big clubs. We can beat anybody, including Madrid.”

Juve and Real Madrid will meet on October 23 at the Santiago Bernabeu with the return leg in Italy taking place two weeks later on November 5.
