Pirlo ‘reluctant’ for Madrid

Real Madrid are seen as one club tracking Andrea Pirlo’s availability next summer, but reportedly are not top of the playmaker’s list.

The veteran is attracting speculation this season as he has entered the final year of his current contract with Juventus.

Former Juve striker Gianluca Vialli has helped intensify rumours by suggesting that a deal with Tottenham is being lined up for the 34-year-old.

The Daily Mail today suggest that Madrid are also keeping tabs on the player, who has a ‘close working relationship’ with Coach Carlo Ancelotti, from their time together at Milan.

However, the English publication suggest that Spurs are in the driving seat, with Pirlo apparently considering regular playing time as key to any decision made and viewing Madrid as a place where that may prove more difficult.

Pirlo was linked with a move to Madrid at one stage of the summer transfer market, before Los Blancos picked up Asier Illarramendi.
