Barca eye United’s Januzaj

Barcelona are reportedly keeping track of youngster Adnan Januzaj’s contract talks with Manchester United, with an eye to making a move.

The 18-year-old has seen his profile rise in recent days with two goals for The Red Devils in their weekend win at Sunderland in the Premier League.

However, his future with the English side is uncertain, as talks over a new contract have only just started up once more, having stalled over the summer.

Januzaj’s current deal expires next summer and The Daily Mail report that Barcelona have been keeping track of the winger since before his 2011 move to Old Trafford from Anderlecht.

Whilst United are seen as having tabled an offer to significantly improve the youngster’s current earnings, it is reported that Barca consider themselves as in contention to pick him up next July on a free.

The player’s agent, Dirk de Vriese commented on the situation last week: “I’m not going to say which teams are interested in him, but I can tell you that there is interest from several European clubs.”
