Eric Abidal has warned against France and Real Madrid dropping Karim Benzema from first-team plans.
The striker is under pressure both for club and country for indifferent runs of form of late, but he can count on the support of another of his international colleagues.
‘I do not believe that dropping Karim Benzema to the bench or the stands is the solution,” considered Abidal to BeInSport today.
The former Barcelona man also reflected on the start to this season in Spain, where Atletico Madrid are level with Barca on eight wins from eight.
“Atletico Madrid have always been a good team, they deserve the good start to the season that they are having.”
