Luis Garcia has pin-pointed a friendly against Alcorcon earlier in the summer as the turning point for Getafe.
The Azulones have won their last two League matches and hope to make it three in a row this weekend against Real Betis.
But the Coach has claimed that a 6-1 defeat to Alcorcon was the wake-up call his team needed.
“If you win it’s because you play well,” he told a Press conference. “We’ve worked very hard, watching videos and trying to be more compact at the back.
“After the loss to Alcorcon we realised that something had to change or we weould go down.
“I think that was the turning point.”
