Atletico Madrid captain Gabi has praised his side’s ‘complete game’ after they defeated Real Madrid on Saturday.
An early goal from Diego Costa was enough to give the Rojiblancos a 1-0 win over their city rivals at Santiago Bernabeu yesterday.
And the midfielder has insisted that his men were the better side.
“I'm happy with the big performance from Atletico Madrid, it is clear that the team defended very well, we worked the game very well and we had chances to score some more,” he told the club’s official website.
“It is not easy to beat Real Madrid, the team played a very complete game today.
“We played a very good game and have had a lot of chances.”
