Lionel Messi has admitted it was ‘important’ his Barcelona side started their Champions League campaign with a win.
The Argentine attacker bagged a hat-trick in the Blaugrana’s 4-0 win over Ajax on Wednesday.
“It was important to start with a win at home,” he told reporters.
“Nice hat-trick? Thank you very much."
"I think it's good we add alternatives to our game, we also have players to play a good counter-attack.”
