Former Ajax and Barcelona midfielder Richard Witschge cannot see past the Catalans in this week’s Champions League encounter.
Barca host the Dutch club on Wednesday evening in a first ever competitive meeting between the two, as the Champions League group stages get under way.
“Barca are the clear favourite against Ajax. It is a very difficult game for Ajax because Barca have, individually, the best players,” Witschge told La Xarxa this week.
“It is not only because Barca are playing at the Camp Nou. If they played in Uzbekistan, they would still be ahead of Ajax.
“Barcelona have the best in the world and Ajax has just sold some of its best players.”
