Paolo Maldini is confident that Carlo Ancelotti will be a success at Real Madrid and believes that Sergio Ramos will be the best in the world.
The Milan legend played under the Italian tactician at the Rossoneri, and the former full-back has claimed that the Blancos have made a brilliant appointment.
“Carlo has triumphed everywhere,” he told Marca. “At PSG Carlo had to change the mentality of the squad. But in Madrid, winning is already part of the squad.
“There won’t be much patience, but there isn’t at Milan – so I’m sure he’ll be aware of that.
“He provides reassurance to his players and is a real connoisseur of the game. He has won in England, France and Italy – and you can’t say that about everyone!”
The ex-Azzurri international then remarked on Sergio Ramos, whilst also commenting on Real Madrid being linked with Andrea Pirlo.
“Sergio Ramos has everything to become the best defender in the world, if he’s not already. I’d say he’s up there with Thiago Silva.
“But I think he might need to improve a few more things to be the number one. I’m sure Ancelotti will polish him.
“I do not see that move being feasible. Juventus will not let Pirlo go. He is vital to the Bianconeri.”
