Michel Herrero has enthused at the early trust Miroslav Djukic has put in him at Valencia and promised to keep giving maximum effort.
The midfielder is a returning face to Mestalla this summer after a spell with city neighbours Levante and has begun the season featuring in every game played so far.
“I always give 100 per cent every day, whether it is just in training or in a friendly,” reflected Michel to reporters this week. Whenever I work it is with intensity and the Coach is giving me a lot of continuity and confidence and I am trying to take advantage of that, and I hope to continue my streak.
“The Coach is counting on me. I have played three out of three and for this I am very happy and satisfied with the level that I am giving, but I hope to give more.”
Los Che have lost two of their opening three games of the season heading into the international break.
“In the League we have started with many new players, the coaching staff is completely new and I think we have to get used to each other a little.
“The break is good and now we have to see our mistakes made and try to correct them as soon as possible.
“We have much enthusiasm [for the project], we are stuck a little behind at the moment, but we want to take it forward.
“The goal of the squad is to achieve something big with Valencia and to take the club as far as possible in all three competitions.
“At a personal level, I am trying to help the team, playing or not, I am one more and I will do everything to make the team good and if that is on the field then all the better.”
