Agger wants Liverpool stay

Daniel Agger has insisted he is happy at Liverpool, despite interest this summer from Barcelona.

The Denmark international has been a transfer target for the Blaugrana during the transfer window, but the central defender has claimed that he wants to stay at Anfield.

“Overall you have to think that it [Barcelona's interest] is a positive,” he told Danish paper Jyllands-Posten.

“It is a positive that someone likes what you are doing.

“When a club such as Barcelona think that then it is a boost and for that I am pleased. I am not going to deny that but that doesn't mean that anything [a move] happens.

“If a move doesn't happen that that's that. That's nothing I can dictate or decide. I have a contract with Liverpool for another three years and if they want to keep me, they will keep me."
