Thiago Alcantara will have an operation on Monday after tearing a ligament in his ankle for Bayern Munich.
The former Barcelona youngster limped out of the Bavarian side’s win over Nuremberg on Saturday, and the Spanish Football Federation [RFEF] have confirmed that the midfielder will be operated on tomorrow.
It means Thiago will be out for seven weeks and will miss Spain’s final three World Cup qualifiers.
