Report: Ronaldo keen on Man Utd return

Cristiano Ronaldo is open to a return to Manchester United next summer, according to reports in the British Press.

The Guardian have claimed that the Real Madrid superstar has made his intentions clear that he would like to end his career at Old Trafford.

The Portugal international was sold by the Premier League champions in 2009 for a world record fee of £80m.

He has since gone on to become one of the club’s greatest goalscorers of all-time, winning the Liga title in 2011-12.

The paper has revealed though that Ronaldo would like to go back to his former club, but not until 2014.

A move would be incredibly difficult however, considering the forward’s sporting and marketing assets to the Santiago Bernabeu side.

United meanwhile are said to be keen on the move and would not be put off by the huge fee he would command.
