Neymar enthused at his goal from the bench for Barcelona last night, that saw them draw 1-1 with Atletico Madrid in the Supercopa de Espana.
The Catalans struggled for periods of play at the Vicente Calderon and fell behind to David Villa’s first-half striker, before their Brazilian summer signing came off the bench to draw matters level with his first goal for Barca.
“I’m happy because I came on and I could help out during a difficult period,” Neymar reflected afterwards.
“The result is good and now we have to finish it at home. Atletico are a strong team. Again they have demonstrated this. The final is very open.
“I’m very excited to have scored my first goal. Hopefully I will continue doing well with Barcelona and we will manage to be champions.”
