Courtois: We must score at Camp Nou

Thibaut Courtois recognises the challenge facing Atletico Madrid in the second leg of the Supercopa de Espana against Barcelona.

The capital club head out next Wednesday to the Camp Nou with the disadvantage of having conceded an away goal in last night’s first leg at the Vicente Calderon.

With Neymar’s equaliser cancelling out an opening strike from David Villa, Los Colchoneros are on the back foot heading into the second leg, with an away goal to now cancel out.

“Their equaliser now it makes things a little more difficult for us,” began goalkeeper Courtois in reflection afterwards.

“We struggled to maintain the physical effort from the first half, but we were still well organised.

“We played a good game. It is one thing to defend against Barca and it is another thing to do it whilst also attacking. And that is what Atletico have managed.

“We need to score in the Camp Nou and I believe that we can. We know that it will be difficult.

“Everything is possible. This has been my best game against Barca. I think that I have made the right decisions and I hope to continue like this.

“With David Villa can we forget Radamel Falcao? I think so.”
