Lionel Messi has commented briefly on Barcelona’s start to the League season, believing that it has ‘shown the team’s desire’ for the campaign.
The defending champions opened their 2013-14 term with a resounding 7-0 win over Levante on Sunday evening, helped in part by the Argentine’s two goals.
“It was a good debut in the League,” posted Messi in a brief message on Barca’s official page on Chinese social networking site Weibo.
“We have made clear the desire that we all have to have a great season.
“We are now focused on the Supercopa match we will play on Wednesday.”
Barca travel out to the Vicente Calderon this midweek for the first leg of the Supercopa de Espana against Atletico Madrid.
