Former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola has compared his Bayern Munich players to those at Barca, insisting they are better at some things.
A report in Sport Bild claims Guardiola told his new charges they are superior to the Barcelona players in footballing intelligence after the Bundesliga champions beat La Blaugrana 2-0 in a Munich friendly on June 24.
The newspaper maintains the Spaniard praised his players for not only overcoming the Catalans on the scoreboard but also in possession of the ball.
“It is five years since that happened. You have understood my football philosophy more quickly,” Pep is alleged to have said in reference to the time he took over at the Camp Nou.
