Kaka rejoins Madrid teammates

Ricky Kaka notably rejoined his Real Madrid teammates in their latest training session and has been named in the squad to face LA Galaxy.

The Brazilian has been working to a specific routine in the past fortnight in a bid to recapture optimum strength and reaction in his legs, with his future at the club believed to be on the line this summer.

Following on from initial work in the gym since arriving in the US with the rest of the team, Kaka notably rejoined the main group for their latest training session in Los Angeles, completely the full workout.

Meanwhile, Asier Illarramendi continued to work in the gym, whilst Raphael Varane worked alongside the rest of the group for the first half only of the session, before exercising apart for the second half.

Carlo Ancelotti has named a 20-man squad for Thursday’s International Champions Cup opener with LA Galaxy, including Kaka.

None of the Confederations Cup representatives this summer, who only returned to preseason on Monday, have been included.

Real Madrid squad to face LA Galaxy: Diego López, Jesús, Tomás Mejías, Pepe, Coentrao, Carvajal, Nacho, Mateos, Casado, Khedira, Özil, Kaká, Modric, Di María, Isco, Casemiro, Cheryshev, Cristiano Ronaldo, Benzema, Morata.
