Madrid name 28 for US

Real Madrid have welcomed back their Spanish and Brazilian internationals and flown out to the US ahead of a four-game tour.

Los Blancos are out in the US for the second part of preseason, where they will play four games over the next two weeks, including taking part in the International Champions Cup.

Leaving for North America yesterday on a 12-hour flight, the club listed a 28-man squad that has seen Iker Casillas, Alvaro Arbeloa, Marcelo and Sergio Ramos included.

The quartet were all given an extended break this summer for their Confederations Cup involvement that lasted until the end of June.

Madrid, who begin training today, start their tour with a match in Phoenix against LA Galaxy, before playing either Everton or Juventus in Los Angeles in the International Champions Cup’s knockout format.

A final set of matches in the preseason competition are held over next weekend, whilst Madrid are then scheduled to meet Inter in a separate friendly a week on Wednesday in Missouri.
