Guardiola loses first competitive match

Pep Guardiola’s first competitive game as Bayern Munich Coach ended in defeat to Borussia Dortmund.

The Bavarian side lost 4-2 to their Bundesliga rivals on Saturday evening to let slip the German Supercup.

Arjen Robben’s two second half goals weren’t enough, as a Marco Reus double, an own goal from Daniel Van Buyten and Ilkay Gundogan’s effort gave Jurgen Klopp’s men the trophy.

After the match though, the Spanish tactician was not concerned with the result.

“They won. I am not here to analyse which team played better today. I am happy with our performance, we played well,” he told reporters.
